Daphne Lare Obituary

Daphne Skirvin Lare

Staff Sergeant Daphne Skirvin Lare, age 28 of Clarksville, TN, entered this life on February 17, 1985 in Carrollton, KY. She was the loving daughter of Rodney Dwayne and Noriada Skirvin. She was raised in Madison, IN and was a 2003 graduate of Madison Consolidated High School.

Shortly after high school, Daphne enlisted into the Indiana National Guard and was based at the 1438th Transportation Company at Camp Atterbury. She was a proud American Soldier who served honorably during two tours of duty in Iraq. She attained the rank of Staff Sergeant and was serving currently in the 2113th Transportation Company based in Paducah, KY. She was loved and respected by all with whom she served.

Daphne had suffered the death of her father on April 9, 2005 when he was killed in an accident at work. He was also a Veteran, and she continued on with her service and fulfilling her father's legacy.

Daphne was united in marriage to Adam Joseph Lare on September 3, 2008 at the Broadway Fountain in downtown Madison, by Madison Mayor, Tim Armstrong. This union was blessed with one son, Leyton Adam. Daphne was a proud mother and Leyton was the love of her life. She was attending DeVry University and was studying business management health services. She had resided in Clarksville since 2011 and enjoyed physical fitness and staying fit. Daphne found joy in music, loved being with her sister, caring for her mother and socializing with friends. Daphne had a smile that could light up the room, and was a trusted friend to all that crossed her path. She enjoyed watching University of Kentucky Basketball with family and friends. Daphne touched so many lives, was a passionate inspiration to many and will be grievously missed.
