Dorothea Daniels Obituary
Dorothea M. (Meme) Daniels, age 101, went to be with the Lord Monday, August 13, 2012 at Gateway Medical Center after a brief illness.
A celebration of her life will be held 11 a.m. Thursday, August 16, 2012 at McReynolds-Nave & Larson Chapel, with Rev. Terrell Marcom officiating. Burial will be in Park Lawn Cemetery in Evansville, IN. Visitation will be 4-7 p.m. Wednesday and from 10 a.m. until the hour of service Thursday at the funeral home.
She was born on August 9, 1911 in Evansville, Vanderburgh County, IN, daughter of Moorman E. and Mary Roberts.
She was preceded in death by a son, Robert L. Daniels; a daughter, Elizabeth Ann Huff, and by her husband of 67 years, William T. Daniels.
Mrs. Daniels graduated from Evansville Central High School in 1928, and was retired from Mesker Steel Corporation after a 20 year career as a bookkeeper and stenographer.
Mrs. Daniels also taught Sunday school and Bible study, and served at the Evansville Rescue Mission with her husband for 65 years. She was a member of Excell Baptist Church.
She is survived by her daughter, Mary Jane (Jim) Harrier and grandchildren, David (Denise) Harrier, Anna (Richard) Glass, Daniel (Kathy) Harrier and Mary (Gary) Peterson, Karen Stevens, Tina Huff; and 10 great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be great-grandsons and family members.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Excell Baptist Church Building Fund, 328 Excell Road, Clarksville, TN 37043 or the Clarksville Chapter of Child Evangelism International, 1209 Southern Parkway, Clarksville, TN 37042.

Mrs Daniels was my Sunday School teacher at the Evansville Rescue Mission. I have many wonderful memories of her. She will be missed.
