Joe Mixon Obituary
Joe C. Mixon, age 67, of Clarksville, died Thursday, December 26, 2013, at Gateway Medical Center.
He was born in Clarksville, to the late Joe Curtis Mixon, Sr. and Lottie Mixon.
Joe retired after 35 years with the Clarksville Police Department, with a rank of Lieutenant.
His remains are to be cremated, and no services are planned. "You should have visited while I was alive."
Mr. Mixon is survived by his loving wife, Sharon Stacey Mixon, of Clarksville; one daughter; two sons; one brother, Sam Givens, of Texas; one sister, Dorothy Hodges, of Texas; six grandchildren; and four great grandchildren.

He was a good man. He didn't mind telling you how it was but he was also fair and never forgot where he came from. I enjoyed working with him and he will be missed.
