Joshua Ellis Obituary
Clarksville - "No time to CRY, don't shed a TEAR. I am with GOD, in spirit I am here. I kept the faith. MY SPIRIT is LIGHT. I am at PEACE now. I fought the good FIGHT."
Joshua Raynele Ellis, 32, of Clarksville, TN received his angel wings on July 22, 2019 at Vanderbilt University Medical Center after being fatally shot outside of his home. God said, "Don't be afraid, I am with you."
Joshua was preceded in death by his mother, Elaine Marshelle Long.
He was a graduate of Clarksville High School and became a member of Edgefield Baptist Church during his middle school years.
Joshua was a charismatic, energetic, and loving man. His smile and laid-back personality were contagious. He had a swag about him that made you want to be more engaged and in tune with his vibe! Anyone that genuinely knew him can attest that he was very loyal to his true friends (childhood and adulthood) and most importantly his family. The two proudest moments in his life were the birth of his daughter and son.
At a young age it was evident that he would be filled with so much energy and have a love for socializing. As a child, his favorite thing to do was tie a robe around his neck and jump off the highest thing around because he thought he was superman!
To forever cherish and honor his memory, Joshua leaves behind his father, William Ellis Jr. (Ernestine) of Nashville, TN. His sisters, Mahogany Chanel Harris (Jonathan) of Chesterfield, VA, Maria Anastasha Caldwell (Jamal) of Virginia Beach, VA; his children Je'Vaeh Chanel Ellis and Kamryn Raynell Ellis; his nieces Janiah LaShay Bennett, Amirah Yasmin Critz and Jahzara Elaine Harris; his favorite Aunt Kathy Stacker of Clarksville, TN; significant other Cyerra Nacoya Fort of Guthrie, KY. He is also survived by a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, friends and many more.
Family members and friends are invited to pay final tribute to Joshua Raynele Ellis. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 P.M. Saturday, August 3, 2019 at First Missionary Baptist Church, 301 Fairview Ln., Clarksville, TN 37040. The repass to follow at Pinnacle Entertainment Center (downstairs), 430 Warfield Blvd. Clarksville, TN 37043.
