Marcell Myles Obituary
Marcell Myles, age 44 of Clarksville, passed away on Tuesday, May 10, 2016 at his residence.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, May 13, 2016 at the chapel of McReynolds-Nave & Larson Funeral Home with Pastor Shawn Scott officiating. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until the hour of service.
Marcell was born September 10, 1971 in St. Louis, the son of Jerome Myles and Elizabeth in St. Louis, Missouri. He served in the U.S. Army for 5 years. Marcell worked as a barber and was a member of Tabernacle Church.
He is survived by his wife, Ramona Parker Myles; sons, Marcell Myles Jr. and Antwon Culbreath; grandchildren, Kameron Culbreath and Braylon Culbreath; brother, Jerome Myles Jr.; sisters, Elizabeth Dangna-Long, Wanda Long, Paris Harris, and April Myles.

Marcell still has not been forgotten. Last week someone suggested a new sock drive like the one Daymar did in his honor. When I see other students struggling, I often think of the dedication and strength he demonstrated during his final semester.

Dearest Ramona & family,
I was saddened to hear of your loss of such a caring, precious man. I met Marcell at Vanderbilt while we were doing chemo & I was presented a pair of "Happy Socks" that put a big smile on my face. I was in the newspaper article with Marcell & was quoted that every time I would put on my "Happy Socks" that "I would say a special prayer for him & his family." Also, I told him to "let his light continue to shine because that is what God would want him to do." He blessed my life & the lives of so many others. He will be missed, but heaven has gained another angel of love! Blessings to you & your family.

I am so sorry for your loss. I had the pleasure of having Marcell Myles in my composition class this term, and was delighted to make his acquaintance. He was always cheerful and engaging, whether in person or in the online discussion boards. He had an intelligent and positive worldview. We will miss him here at Daymar.
