Clarksville - Mrs. Olga Ann Bailey, born on August 7, 1936 in Heilbronn, Germany, to the late Olga Edelmann and the late Erwin Edelmann, passed away at age 81 on January 31, 2018. Olga was the matriarch of a very loving family who spent her life taking care of everyone. Her home sparkled, her kitchen fed a multitude, and she lived life to the fullest. She was quick to laugh and joke and wasn't bashful about breaking out her accordion to entertain at a party. She also faithfully made gallons of Christmas cookies every year to be generously distributed to friends and family, even this past holiday season while fighting her disease. Her German-accented, raspy voice and amazing strength of will can never be forgotten by those who knew her so well. Olga was married to the late Harold Dene Bailey. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Sandra Cleghorn; brother, Horst Edelmann; and sister, Irene Hanns. Olga is survived by her daughter, Irene Davis; sister, Renate Larson; her son-in-law, Michael Cleghorn; grandchildren, Seth Davis, Luke Davis, Judson Davis, Jasmine Wilson, Jocelyn Richter, Stephen Cleghorn, Jared Cleghorn, and Isaac Cleghorn; 11 great-grandchildren; and a host of extended family members. She also leaves behind her greatly loved cats, Max and Little One. She generously and compassionately cared for a multitude of stray animals throughout her life. Therefore, in lieu of flowers, please consider making a Memorial Donation to the Humane Society of the United States. A memorial service will be held for family and close friends at a later date.
