Roy Laster Obituary
Roy Wayne Laster, CWO4 - US Navy-Retired
Roy Wayne Laster, 68, of Calabash, died Saturday, December 26, 2015 at his home.
Born on June 4, 1947 in Clarksville, TN, a son of the late Emmanuel Binkley and Eva Daniels Harris. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his sister, Wanda Jones, and a son, Jason Laster.
Mr. Laster graduated from Houston County High School in 1965 and later retired from the U.S. Navy after 26 years of service and was a member of the American Legion, Calabash & Elks Lodge, Little River, SC.
Following retirement he was a logistics analyst for the federal government.
Surviving are his wife, of 41 years, Patricia Clark Laster; sons, Robert Laster (Holly), of Jacksonville, FL, and Joshua Laster, of Scranton, PA; daughter, Stacey Morgan (Robin), of Avenue, MD; two sisters, Lynda Williams (Wendell), of Clarksville, TN, and Beverly Reising (Tom), of Louisville, KY; three grandchildren, Jason Alexander Morgan, Noah Morgan, & Haley Morgan.
A Celebration of Life will be conducted at 2 pm on Monday, January 11th, their anniversary date, in the Brunswick Funeral Service Chapel, by the Rev. Jason L. Benton.
Family requests memorials be directed to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
Inurnment will be at a later date in the Arlington National Cemetery.
