Thetus Dobbins Obituary
Mr. Thetus Ray Dobbins, age 87of Erin, TN, passed away on Thursday, September 24, 2015 at his residence.
A celebration of his life will be held at 2 p.m., Sunday, September 27, 2015 from the chapel of Nave Funeral Home with Bro. Spencer Davidson and Bro. Jim Seddeth officiating. Burial will follow in Lockhart Cemetery with Military Honors.
The Dobbins family will receive friends on Saturday from 2-8 p.m. and from 10 a.m. until the hour of service on Sunday afternoon.
Mr. Dobbins entered this life on August 23, 1928 in Houston County, TN, son to the late Lewis and Nora Tate Dobbins. A life long resident of Houston County, Mr. Dobbins was a member of the Church of Christ, and proudly served his country in the United States Army.
Survivors include his loving wife of 61 years, Mary Lou Dobbins; sons, Tim Dobbins (Angie), Mitch Dobbins (Mary Lee); daughter, Bridget Whitaker (Dwaine); grandchildren, Ashlee Dobbins(Meagan), Leigh Ann Dobbins, Jordan Dobbins, Katie Dobbins, Lori Hall (Jason); great grandchildren, Avery Hall, Riley Hall.
Serving as Pallbearers will be Ashlee Dobbins, James Tolley, Steve Hughes, Reggie Norfleet, Earl Williams, Donnie Dennis, JD Harvey and Billy Jim Hughes. Friends will serve as Honorary Pallbearers.
