AUBURNDALE - Miss Baylee Rae Shirah, age 18, a resident of Auburndale, passed away Thursday, February 15, 2018.
Miss Shirah was born June 11, 1999 in Lakeland, Florida to Kevin Louis and Christi Lanette (Jackson) Shirah. She was a lifetime Polk County resident and a senior at Tenaroc High School in Auburndale. Baylee enjoyed softball, fishing, movies, Fried Chicken and spending time with her family.
She was preceded in death by her father and paternal grandfather. Baylee is survived by her loving family: parents: Christi (Ewon) Meadows of Auburndale, sister Brooke (Donavan) Casity of Polk City, paternal grandparents: Brad & Wanda Ewell of Auburndale, Delon & Mary Meadows, Sr., of Polk City, maternal grandparents Ray & Linda Jackson of Auburndale, grandparents: Glen & Sheila 'BeBe' Thornton of Auburndale, 2 uncles: Jody (Teresa) Jackson of Alabama Chad (Deborah) Jackson of Auburndale, aunt; Delana (Harvey) James of Winter Haven, nephew Jackson Casity of Polk City, boyfriend Johnnie Brown of Winter Haven.
A memorial service will be 4:00 PM Monday, February 19th at First Baptist Church of Polk City, 212 Hamolia Ave., Polk City. A gathering will be held before the service beginning at 3:00 PM.
