LAKELAND - Mrs. Carmela "Cam" Walls went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, July 24, 2012 due to complications from an auto accident.
She was born in Providence, RI and moved to Lakeland from West Warwick, RI in 1972. Cam was a faithful member of First Baptist Church at The Mall. She was a cherished wife, mother, grandmother and friend.
Cam is survived by her husband of 52 years, Robert "Bob" Walls, Sr. of Polk City, son, Buddy (Tara) Walls, daughters, Susan (Kevin) Crouse, Debbie (Jim) McFarland all of Lakeland, grandchildren, Kyle (Laura) Crouse, Kendall Crouse, Madison, Tori & Riley McFarland, Rob (Melissa) Walls, Brandon (Ashlee) Winslow, Brooke Winslow and great granddaughter, Kaycee Winslow.
Visitation will be Friday 6-8pm at Gentry - Morrison Funeral Home, Southside Chapel, 1727 Bartow Rd. Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, 10:00am at First Baptist Church at The Mall. Interment will follow at Oak Hill Burial Park. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to First Baptist Church at The Mall, Future Generations Fund.

To Cam's husband and family: My husband and I only had the pleasure of meeting Cam on a few occasions for which we are so glad - she always had a smile, and always had time to say hello and "how are you" - there are no words to say - but we pray that the Lord will help you through this terrible tragedy and will in time bring you peace.......and comfort....

Bob and Family,
Words just can't tell you the deep deep hurt inside from losing such a wonderful friend. She was my 2nd Momma. Her advice always cherished! You were both such a part of our family, I can't imagine holidays at the lake or new years eve without you BOTH. The void will never be replaced. Although I never met Cam in person, I knew her through the various yardsale groups and Facebook and she will be missed by many. I am so sorry for the family's loss and pray God be with you and give you peace and comfort.

I was shocked and very sad, when I heard.Cam was a sweet lady, who made me feel welcome in Comunity Bible study, many years ago. Praying, God will shower you with His Peace through the Love of family and friends.

I worked with Bob for over 20 years at
Ametek and saw Cam a lot over the years. She was a very special lady. I know she will be missed. My prayers for the whole family during this difficult time.

It was wonderful to meet Cam and to interact with her on the FB yard sale groups. She made a huge impact in our little internet world. Unfortunately the lord had bigger and better plans for her wonderful spirit. God bless the family in their time of sorrow.

My deepest sympathies to the entire family. Though I never had the honor of meeting Cam face to face I knew her through various Facebook groups. She was truly a very special woman who touched the lives of many. She was an inspiration to me and forever touched my heart. Bob and family, I could write a book about Cam but the only words that I can come up with now are: We shared 39 years together of love, laughter, holidays, vacations Church, meals Van-Dells and so much more but if it had not been for Cam I would have NEVER had the personal relationship I have come to know with my Lord and Savior....I love her for that more than anything.
