Christine Koch Obituary

CHRISTINE C.
KOCH, 63
Salon Salvatore

LAKELAND - Our beloved mother and grandmother, Christine Koch, passed away on December, 28, 2010 after a long battle with liver disease.
She was born in Albuquerque, New Mexico on January 30, 1947 and moved to Lakeland 43 years ago.
She was preceded in death by her father, Douglas Coy. She is survived by her mother Lola Coy; daughter, Sherri Tabb and husband Jack, daughter Tracy Madonia and husband Stephen; grandchildren, Addison, Austin and Savannah Tabb and Stephen Jr. and Lauren Madonia.
Chris was a regular at her daughter's salon, volunteering the time she had to help out and be a surrogate mom for the employees. She was always willing to help and had a great compassion for other people. She volunteered as often as she could to raise money for charities. She had an unmeasurable love for her family and friends and will be so greatly missed.
Visitation will be Monday from 9:30-10:30 am at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, 210 W. Lemon St., Lakeland. A funeral mass will follow at 10:30 am at the church. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to your favorite charity in Chris's name.

To plant trees in memory, please visit the Sympathy Store.

I worked with Chris At RGIS. We became fast friends and rode together many times sharing stories, laughing and creating mischief. She was such a sweet-hearted person who stayed positive even through her hepititis treatments. She doted on those grandchildren! She made my own daughters "special" fish tanks and crafts. :) I am so saddened by her loss. My prayers are with her mom, daughters and grandchildren. May God comfort you and keep you in the days ahead and bless you with many special memories of this wonderful woman. To think of her you can't help but smile.

Dear Sherri and Jack and family,

I want you to know that you are in my thoughts and prayers during this terribly sad time. Loosing your beloved mother at Christmas time makes the loss seem so much more difficult. I know your hearts are very heavy today but I pray that as time passes they will fill with beautiful memories of all the wonderful times you shared with your mother.
