Pediatrician
LAKELAND - Cynthia G. Enlow, 56, died Sunday, December 18, 2016.
Cynthia was born August 24, 1960 in Eustis, FL, she came here from West Palm Beach in 1974.
Cynthia started at Clark and Daughtrey in 1998, last working at the LRH Grassland Campus. she was an avid USF fan and alumnus.
Her family was the most important thing in her life and her patients and parents were part of that family. she was a member of First Baptist Church at the Mall.
She was proceeded in death by her father, Thomas C. Yon.
She is survived by her husband Grant Enlow; mother Gail Yon, Lakeland; daughters Ashley Blizzerd, Houston, TX, Whitney Brown of Sioux Falls, SD; brother Tommy Yon and 4 grandchildren.
Visitation will be Wednesday from 10:30 - 12:00 pm at First Baptist Church at the Mall with funeral to follow. Interment will be in Oak Hill Burial Park.
In Lieu of flowers, dontaions may be made to Mary's Meals www.marysmeal.org or to Good Shepherd Hospice, 3450 Lakeland Hills Blvd., Lakeland, FL 33805.

The great memory came up today in my Facebook Memories! This was the last Christmas party Dr. Enlow attended with her LRH family. The these was Roaring 20's and Dr. Endow played the role well! Not a day goes by that she isn't remembered!

She may be gone but, never forgotten! My son an I loved her- he was a patient of hers until he became 18. Not only the best Dr around but, such a wonderful person.. she even attended his high school graduation! Her passing just broke our hearts! RIP Dr Enlow

Dr. Enlow was the best pediatrician ever. My children span 14 years from oldest to youngest and she was devoted to each one. It was always apparent that her family was her true love and that love extended to her patients. This is a true loss for everyone, my heart hurts for her family and all who knew her.

I am devasted to just hear this. Dr. Enlow was the first and only Pediatrician my children have gone to since moving to Lakeland 11 years ago. I felt a true kinship with her and speaking with her was if speaking to a dear friend. She was not only a wonderful doctor, but a truly wonderful and caring person. She will be dearly missed by so many people, especially by me and my children.

Awesome doctor and very sincere. One of our daughters had breathing and sleeping problems and Dr. Enlow was the only one to diagnosis her with severe sleep apnea and fixed our baby gave her life again. We heard the news and are devastated. Our hearts and prayers are with her family and friends. You will be missed ...and never forgotten.

I was so sadden to hear about your death. I called the office to make an appointment and was delivered the news! I recently moved to Orlando, Fl but continued to commute to bring my son as I just was not happy with anyone else. My daughter was a patient and she is now 21 yrs and my son is now 12. Our Father in Heaven has taken home and Angel. Dr. Enlow was that to my two children for 19 years. We all loved her. She wasn't just a Dr. but someone I felt as a friend. Dr. Enlow came into my daughter's life only 1 year ago but her impact was tremendous! My daughter was very, very sick - unable to eat and losing weight quickly. After multiple visits to our pediatrician and multiple ER visits in a period of about 2 months, and feeling nothing but pacified, angry and frustrated, and at the recommendation of friends who loved Dr. Enlow, I took my daughter to see her. What a relief! She listened. She took the time to really truly listen. She validated, she cared and she acted. Dr. Enlow contacted Nemours Childrens Hospital and had my daughter pre-admitted. After almost a week in Nemours, a diagnosis was given, treatment rendered and my beautiful daughter was eating, laughing and happy again. Above and beyond? Absolutely! Dr. Enlow called to check on my daughter....to be sure she was cared for and assessed the way she should have been months earlier. I am so grateful to Dr. Enlow for listening to my concerns and am truly unsure what the outcome would have been without her intervention. We will miss her knowledge, caring and kindness and amazing ability to listen. She was a truly great pediatrician!

We are extremely shocked and saddened by your loss. You were my girls pediatrician when we arrive both arrived in Lakeland in 1998. You were Dr. Brown then and were very happy for you when you remarried. Our prayers are with your husband and children. I am in total shock. Dr. Enlow has been my pediatrician for over 15 years. Not only was she such a kind woman but a compassionate, dedicated doctor. I waited for her many times to come through the door and it was like I was waiting for a friend to come visit. Such a great doctor and she had the sweetest voice I have ever heard. I am speechless. Cyndi and I met in school at USF COM and helped support each other during medical school. We spent many Saturdays at her home studying with Ashley and Whitney running around or asking what we were looking at. We lost touch after graduation and I never had the pleasure of meeting Grant, but she was always in any happy memories I had from those years. I knew she would be a spectacular pediatrician and from all of the condolence messages, I see she was. She was a great daughter, friend, mother, wife, and pediatrician and she will be missed by many.

Dr. Enlow was my child's pediatrician for the last 10 years. She was a blessing to us, and will never be forgotten. During her last months, it was so hard to reach her but we did not give up. When we found out about Dr.Enlow's sickness, I thought she would survive and we would have our favorite doctor again. Even though we will have to find a new doctor, she will still have a place in our heart. We will miss her as she continues her life in heaven.

I am heartbroken over Dr. Enlow's death. She was such a wonderful part of my children's lives. I felt like she was my friend, and I was sad that I was too old to have her as my doctor. She exemplified the qualities that every parent wishes for their children's care. The only comfort I find in this is knowing that God is taking care of her now, just as she has so lovingly taken care of all these children all these years. After a terrible experience with our first pediatrician, Dr. Enlow was my angel. For a mother her child's care is important and whether it was a later appointment so I had time to get off work or the time she gave me her cell number when I was worried about my infant on a Friday...She always went above and beyond. My entire family is so sad, this is such a loss. My heart goes out to her family, I write this that you all know the impact she had on families in the community, we loved her!

I was surprised to hear of the passing of Dr. Enlow. She was such a great person. I was blessed to have known Cindy since we were in school together (KHS; class of 1978) . My therapy dog, Minnie, and I had the privilege of visiting this lovely lady three days before The Good Lord called her home. She did acknowledge and gave Minnie a pat on the head. I remarked about ALL the beautiful flowers, telling her she was loved. She also acknowledged that in a humble way.

Dr Enlow was the best doctor!!! My daughter introduced me to her after she first cared for my grandchildren. My daughter said Mom I just founded the best doctor for the babies (2 & 4)! I made a appointment right away. She cared for my son since he was about 2 now he is 9. We had a great and special relationship. I would move away but always traveled back for Dr Enlow to care for Najeh. She would laugh at me. Dr E and Najeh had their own doctor/patient relationship!

Dr. Enlow was the first pediatrician to hold my 12 year old daughter. I feel like we have lost a member of our family that we can never replace. Trust between a doctor and child doesn't come easily or sometimes ever but Dr. Enlow had a way with my daughter that made her feel safe. Often times my daughter would ask to call Dr. Enlow about a particular situation, even a skinned knee. Woke this morning to read about the loss of our boys' pediatrician. We considered her a friend and although we only saw her when our boys were hurt or checking in (which was actually pretty often), we laughed with her and shared stories of travel and family dynamics and her transparency, humor and candor was so appreciated. We honestly had no idea she was so ill, and I wish we would have known because I don't feel like we had the opportunity to tell her just how important and appreciated she was to us. On Sunday, as she passed, we were home talking about how we couldn't wait for her to come back from medical so she could see how much our college aged son's hair had grown and how tall our middle schooler had gotten. We sought her counsel on many things and visits with her were more social calls than medical conversations. She will indeed be missed.....

She has always been so kind and gentle, and my children felt safe with her, and I always felt at ease with each visit. I only met Dr. Enlow at Grasslands in June. She was so sweet and genuine to everyone. It was a pleasure to see her smile and feel her energy. Both patients and coworkers loved her. The impact of her loss is unbelievable as the word is getting around. RIP with Heavenly Father.

Dr. Enlow was a beautiful person and an excellent pediatrician. When I met her she was just what my kids needed in a doctor. I was instantly reassured and comforted. My kids loved her too.

We just loved u and u was more than a pediatrician you wore many coats .. we would drive 35 mins to see you but my children refused to see any other dr. They just LOVED you .. I know you have faith in God so I know we will see u again. I pray that peace be with ur wondeful husband and two girls that you was so proud of .. and for your mother .. I know you will be so happy to see your father as u loved him so much ... thank you for all you have done ..rest in heaven my sweet angel ..

Our thoughts and prayers are with Dr. Enlow and her family. She was three of my children's doctor. She was amazing. She was not only their doctor but a treasured confidant! She will be missed! Heaven has just gained an amazing Dr.

Thank you Dr. Enlow... Thank you for always being right. Thank you for always listening. Thank you for always taking your time. Thank you for always running every test, to put my mind at ease. Thank you for sending us to specialist although they just repeated what you already told us. Thank you for always asking me how my husband was and for always asking how the other kid was, when I was there with only one. Thank you for never making me feel stupid. Thank you for always answering all my questions. Thank you for never making me feel like I was doing something wrong when I didn't want to vaccinate my kids. Thank you for always telling me stories about your husband and your girls, it was so obvious how much you loved them, and it made me feel like we were family. Thank you for always being on time, we never had to wait. Thank you for always thinking of everything, you are so smart! Thank you for the countless after hour phone calls. Thank you for lovingly taking such phenomenal care of my kids. There is no other Doctor/Friend that can compare, you will truly be missed.

I only knew and worked for Dr. Enlow for a few years and loved every minute of it. She was funny, sweet and took such great care of us and her entire patient and home family. Even knowing her for a week would have been enough because she just shined that bright and touched so many lives. Every beautiful candle shines brightest in the dark. We love and miss you already.

I am so sadden and shocked to hear of Dr. Enlow's passing. She was a wonderful doctor that took her time to get to know each of her patient's needs and was always loving to my children. We would run into her time and again at Publix and she would stop and say hello. My son just adored her. She will be greatly missed.
