Mechanic
LAKE WALES - Danny L. Hastings Jr. of Lake Wales passed away Thursday, February 21, 2013 at the Lake Wales Medical Center due to heart failure.
He was born October 21, 1966 in Greenville, SC; and he came here from Greenville 22 years ago. He was a diesel fuel injection mechanic. He was an avid sports fan; he followed the Bucs, Tampa Bay Rays and Atlanta Braves. He was a former semi-pro baseball player and enjoyed golfing and heavy metal music.
Survivors include his wife of 19 years, Stephanie Hastings; daughters, Candice and Kayla both of South Carolina; sister, Angie and one grandchild.
The family will receive friends from 7:00 until 9:00 pm Tuesday, February 26, 2013 at the Marion Nelson Funeral Home in Lake Wales. Condolences may be sent to the family at www.marionnelsonfuneralhome.com .
