LAKELAND - Danyala Lenee Smith, 31, passed away Saturday, May 24, 2014.
Danyala was born July 4, 1982 in Germany. She and her family moved to Lakeland in 1989. Danyala was a graduate of George Jenkins High School. She attended Highland Park Church of the Nazarene.
Danyala's life partner, Miranda Mims and her brother, David Smith, Jr., are also deceased. She is survived by her son, Bertie White; daughters, Delysia White and Channell Walters; legal guardians, Tom and Tammy Wilson; mother, Debra Pfaff; father, David Smith, Sr.; sisters, Amanda Justin Hall and Robin Deshon Traver; brothers, Steven Tasha Wilson and Roger Butterbaugh; and 14 beloved nieces and nephews.
A celebration of Danyala's life will be conducted Monday, June 16, 2014, at 6 p.m. at Highland Park Church of the Nazarene at 4777 Lakeland Highlands Road in Lakeland.

Mom,
It has been a year since you've passed. I think about you everyday and I still miss you the same. I know that there were times that we spent apart but any time we were together I learned from you and I see you through myself all the time. Yeah there are times when it's hard not seeing you but I know in my heart that you're always watching over me and guiding me in the right direction. Although you are no longer physically here with us anymore you are alive in our memories, our conversations, and in our hearts. You left me with loving grandparents, an amazing best friend and two beautiful siblings that love and miss you dearly. I truly believe that everything happens for a reason and although it gets hard I won't trouble myself too much with things that I couldn't control. You are my heart, my flesh and blood and I love you and Miranda forever and always. TATP&H ~ your first born

I did not personally know Diamond but have heard many stories....she will be terribly missed...I pray God gives the family strength and love to carry on for her children...smile down on them from heaven sweetie...they are in very good hands....RIP beautiful one....soar with the angels
