LAKELAND - Donald Lee Skidmore, 66, of Lakeland, FL., died at home June 9, 2011 due to cancer.
He was born September 14, 1944 in Parkersburg, W.Va.
Donald is survived by his wife of 47 years, Cathy Skidmore, Lakeland; 2 sons: Donald G. Skidmore of Highland City and William Skid-more of Barnesville, GA; 1 daughter Arlene Sloat of Kathleen, GA; 9 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren; 2 brothers Mike Skidmore (dec.), Larry Skidmore, Sevierville, TN; 1 sister Marlene Gilliam of Wildorado, TX.

Don was always a hard worker at the Deli Plant. He also was a real nice guy to know. I could count on him to be a real friend. He will be missed for sure. My thoughts and prayers go out to his family. He is now on his grand adventure. May he rest in peace.
