JARNAGIN, 84

LAKELAND - Douglas Cranston Jarnagin, Sr., age 84, of Lakeland, FL, died June 6, 2014. He passed away of heart failure.
He was a graduate of Christ School in Arden, N.C. and N.C. State in Raleigh, N.C. A veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps., he was employed 46 years in the corrugated box industry. He was a longtime member of Grace Lutheran Church in Lakeland, FL.
Preceded in death by parents, Joseph Ruohs & Clara Thompson Jarnagin; son, Douglas Cranston Jarnagin, Jr.; brothers, Spencer & Joe Jarnagin, he is survived by wife, Sara Baxter Jarnagin; daughters, Karen (Alan) Ray & Susan Hood; grandchildren, Jessica Hood, John Crain, Sarah Crain & John Ray.
Memorial services will be conducted 4:00PM Friday, June 13, 2014 at Williamson Memorial Funeral Home, Rev. Tom Walker officiating. Grandchildren will serve as honorary pallbearers. Memorials may be made to the charity of your choice. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at Williamson Memorial Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 615-794-2289. www.williamsonmemorial.com
