Dear Doug,Emilyy,Sadie and Lena,
There are people who possess a special spirit – a light about them that comforts and makes the world whole. Ellena was one of these special people. I always felt peaceful around her; she radiated a sense that all was right with the world. As we all struggle to understand the purpose behind life and death, it is important to understand that the gifts of life, which are bestowed on us, last forever in our hearts and minds even though they may leave the physical world. I count the gift of knowing Ellena as one of my greatest gifts – I know that her special light is shining through in each of you.
All my love to each of you,
Sissy

Doug & Girls,
I am so sad at the loss of one of my oldest and dearest friends. Ellena and I go way back and she will live in the memories I have of her that I will cherish always. She was one of the most unique people I have ever met and I know that her qualites will live on in all of her beautiful girls.
You are all in my thoughts and prayers and even though my heart is heavy with the pain of her loss I know that she is now our angel.

Emily,
The last time I spoke with your mom was at the Cancer Research Center. She was,as usual, so full of hope and optimism about the future. Your mom's courageous spirit was such an inspiration to me all through my fight with breast cancer.
God bless you and your family during this time of sadness and joy. For we know she is with our Father in Heaven.
God Bless you,

This is truly a sad day for us. You will be greatly missed. You were a good friend and good neighbor with such a great sense of humor and style. I enjoyed shopping with you and shared your love of plants. Our girls used to babysit your girls and that drew an even closer bond of our families. I will always remember how very creative and talented you were. You could make anything grow. Heaven is blessed to have you in its garden. Our deepest sympathy goes out to you Doug, Sadie, Nikki, Lena and Emily. You are in our thoughts and prayers.
