FUNK, 98
LAKELAND - Gladys Virginia Funk, 98 of Lakeland, died December 2, 2010 at Highlands Lake Center.
She was born April 10, 1912 in Hagerstown, Maryland to Wilmer H. and Bertha (Carter) Wilson and moved to Lakeland in 1977 from Chambersburg, PA. Gladys was united in marriage to her husband, Albert H. Funk, who preceded her in death in 1998. She is also preceded in death by her son, Marlin Funk, sister, Mary Wood and a grandson, Jeffrey L. Funk.
Gladys is survived by her grandchildren, Leeann (David) Lambert of Lakeland, Cheryl (Bryan) Hutto of Evans, GA and Stephen Funk of Martinez, GA. She is also survived by her great-grandchildren, Matthew and Hannah Hutto and Aidan and Lily Lambert.
Friends will be received between 12 noon to 1pm Monday at the Lakeland Funeral Home Chapel where funeral services will be held that day at 1pm. Interment will take place in Lakeland Memorial Gardens Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Good Shepherd Hospice, Auburndale, FL.
