General MotorsWINTER HAVEN -- Mr. John P. Ardelan of Winter Haven died of congestive heart failure Monday (Nov. 17, 2003) at Winter Haven Hospital. He was 84.Born Dec. 30, 1918, in Pontiac, Mich., he came here from Waterford, Mich., in 1985. He was a product engineer for General Motors for four years. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy, serving during World War II. He was of Catholic Faith.Mr. Ardelan is survived by his wife, Helen Ardelan; sons, John Patrick Ardelan Jr., Batavia, Ill., and Michael Ardelan, St. Charles, Ill.; daughters, Delores Recknagel, Lake Orion, Mich., Barbara Myre, Lakeland; Diana Buck, Clarkston, Mich., and Jo Anne Waterhouse, Plant City; brother, William Ardelan, Gladwin, Mich.; sisters, Mary Rabideau, Sun City, Calif., and Elena Bennett; 18 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.Memorials may be made to the charity of one's choice.
