FORT MEADE - Joyce Ann Hopkins, 77, of Fort Meade, FL, passed away Saturday, October 18, 2014.
Mrs. Hopkins was born March 29, 1937, in Indianapolis, IN. She was a Senior Accounting Clerk for the Polk County School Board.
She was preceded in death by her husband Robert 'Bob' Hopkins and three stepsons, Bobby Hopkins, Danny Hopkins & Eddie Hopkins. She is survived by four daughters, Anna Cross of Newcastle, IN, Theresa Addis of Fort Meade, Ruth A Kennedy of Palm Bay, FL, and Judith D. Caccamo of Indialantic, FL, two sons, Jack L. Kennedy and A. 'Bud' Kennedy, Jr. of Albany, IN, stepson, Donald Hopkins of Richmond, IN, stepdaughter, Debra Shelton of Delray Beach, FL, brother, Dwayne Sewell of West Alexandria, OH, 23 grandchildren and 26 great grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m., Friday, October 24, 2014, at McLean Funeral Home, 306 East Broadway in Fort Meade, FL. Funeral service will be 10:00 a.m., Saturday, October 25, 2014, at McLean Funeral Home. Burial will be at Evergreen Cemetery in Fort Meade, FL. Condolences to the family at www.McLeanfuneralhome.net

So sorry to hear of your loss. Joyce was a beloved 1st cousin of mine. Last time I saw Joyce at her house she was still living out in the orange grove in a new mobile home that had been damaged during a storm and she was busy getting it fixed. Last saw her on her and her daughters trip to Muncie & New Castle. She was a wonderful person and had been through a lot.
