Just today I was thinking of Larry and praying for his dear wife and children. Then I saw this memory page. Larry was a good friend, a good servant of Jesus Christ and a great husband and father. I am glad to have known him as my friend and I look forward to eternity together. Maranatha!

Dear Connie, I just saw the notice from CWPG of the anniversary of Larry's death. I'm so sorry to hear of his unexpected death a year ago. May the Father of Mercies continue to comfort your heart.
I knew Larry from high school and at CSU. He sang in my wedding (1982). I've followed him in his company and rejoiced as God blessed his labors. But especially, I have thanked God for Larry's faithfulness to Christ throughout the years. I will be praying for you. Your brother in Christ, Bart Carlson

Larry and Connie have been special friends and their oldest two sons were friends with ours while we were in Florida. Larry was always upbeat, smiling and showing the love of Jesus in every situation. My heart is broken for his family and we pray for each one of you. Love to all.

I met Larry about five years ago with a proposal for a greenfield renewable energy project in East Africa. From day one, Larry took leadership, his energy and enthusiasm were contagious as we navigated through unimaginable hurdles. Larry's commitment just made all things possible. On behalf of The Marathon Engineering Consortium and The Nacala Energy Project in Mozambique, we are sincerely thankful for the blessing of such a man as Larry Madrid. My hope is that we can be an extension of such a Legacy. Our heartfelt condolences to his wife Connie and the family, may God's Peace sustain you through this season.

Connie and sons...I don't know what to say, and I was shocked by this news as I'm sure you are. I enjoyed singing duets with Larry and am very, very sad to learn that the Lord wanted to take him home so soon at this time. But God knows what He is doing even if I do not understand. I trust the Lord will help you and comfort you all at this time. I know this must be very difficult. I will be praying for you too and looking forward to singing duets again with Larry in glory!

While we did not know Larry Madrid personally, we knew him through our acquaintance with his son Daniel. Daniel is an outstanding person who helped our son, Steve Hedges, open and operate Hedges Eye Care. Daniel is critically important to the successful operation of the business.
Daniel is an outstanding person and it takes outstanding people to create and make outstanding people. So, in a very significant way, we were blessed by Larry Madrid. Thanks Larry and enjoy Heaven.
