WATERS, 86
WINTER HAVEN- Nellie Ann Waters, 86, of Winter Haven passed away on Thursday, June 13, 2013 at Winter Haven Hospital due to heart failure.
Born November 9, 1926 in Winter Haven to Karl and Esther Lathers Apfel, she was a lifelong resident of the area. She was a homemaker for most of her life was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Winter Haven and was a member of the Winter Haven Quilters Club.
She is preceded in death by her husband James "Muddy" Waters in 1994 and a brother, Robert Apfel.
She is survived by: her daughter, Annie Marie Waters of Winter Haven; a son, Kevin Waters and his wife Sandy of Crawfordsville, FL; 2 sisters, Margie A. McGuire of Winter Haven and Caroline M. Apfel of Lakeland, FL; and a granddaughter, Kaleigh Waters of Winter Haven, FL.
The family will receive friends from 2:30pm till 3:00pm, Sunday, June 16, 2013 at Oak Ridge Funeral Care. A Memorial Service will begin at 3:00pm.
In lieu of flowers please make memorial donations in her memory to the American Diabetes Assn. Condolences may be sent www.oakridgefuneralcare.com .
