LAKELAND - Neva F. Pratt, 99, passed away June 9, 2010 of heart failure.
Ms. Pratt was born in Dunlow, West Virginia on January 18, 1911. She was a member of Highland Park Church of the Nazarene.
Ms. Pratt was preceded in death by her parents, William and Florence Finley; husband, Herbert Pratt; infant son, David H. Pratt; siblings, Clarence Finley, Ada Burger and Vada Hendrixson. She is survived by her son, Donald L. Pratt of Wellborn, FL; daughter, Dorotha A. Walker of Lakeland; 7 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.
Visitation will be Sunday from 2-4 p.m. at Gentry-Morrison Funeral Home, Dukes Steen Chapel, 1833 S. Florida Ave., Lakeland. Graveside services will be conducted Mon. at 2 p.m. at Oak Hill Burial Park, Lakeland. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Highland Park Church of the Nazarene's Mission Fund, 4777 Lakeland Highlands Rd., Lakeland, FL 33813.

A very precious lady, I grew up close to Neva, my grandmother always got Neva to fix her hair. Neva was very special.

Miles and time have separated our families. Bur our memories are still bright. Aunt Neva was truly a a kind and gracious lady from my first recollections in the late 1930's and on several other occasions.
Our thoughts and prayers are with Donald and Dorothy and their families.
