WINTER HAVEN - Nicholas James Snider, 23, of Winter Haven, FL died Monday, Aug. 9, 2010 in Highlands Coun-ty. Cause of death is pending from the Medical Examiner.
Born Feb. 26, 1987 in Potsdam, New York he moved here in April from New York and was a college student. Nicholas enjoyed computers, gaming, performing at open mic nights and Star Wars.
He is survived by: his mother and step-father, Laura Monroe-Duprey and her husband Pat; his brother, Ross Snider; a sister, Rachel Snider and his dog, Napoleon, all of Winter Haven.
His family will have a gathering of friends from 6:00 pm till 8:00pm, Thursday, Aug. 12, 2010 at Oak Ridge Funeral Care, 2425 Havendale Blvd., Winter Haven. A Memorial Service will be held at 10:00 am, Friday, Aug. 13, 2010 in the Oak Ridge Funeral Care Chapel. In lieu of flowers please make memorial donations at

nick omg! i cant believe this is really true! i will miss our days at acc and going out to lunch i still have my tinkerbell picture you drew me with your name on it. i will always remember cafe lenas! *knuckles* and me picking you up at your house and almost going in the grass everytime i tried to back down it. Im so sorry for familys loss.

I work for swift transportation and would see him many nights as he worked as a security guard at the Target Warehouse in Wilton Ny. He always had a smile and nice words. I liked to joke around with him a lot and even gave him a birthday card this past year. Sorry to his family for their loss.
