In 2 days, it will be 4 years since we lost you. I wish you were able to meet your great grandchildren. Paul Higby (3 years old now) named after you and hope for him to walk within your footsteps. Joseph Higby, my second child who´s 2 years old now. Cecelia Higby who is 9 months old. And now, pregnant again with my fourth child. I am proud to say I know you walk right beside them in spirit. You are survived by them. We miss you so much and I need you every single day. I can honestly say, nothing has been the same since you left. I have gone through so much, things that you would never think I would ever go through. Things that you would´ve changed if you were here. I was your very first grandchild. You cherished me as one of your own daughters. You raised me. And I have always looked up to you as my own father since I had no father. You were there for me everyday; teaching me values that have molded me into who I am today. I miss you so much and I wish I had more time with you on this earth than what we had. I wish you had more time with my husband Cody before you passed. I was so lucky that you accepted him into our family before we were ever married. You got along with him and made him feel like family. I truly am so grateful to have had you as my person in my life. We always had long and great conversations. We were able to vent to each other and times were never so boring. I miss you, you made life so fun and enjoyable. Let´s all take a moment and remember such a loving, caring, hardworking, and selfless man. Any day and everyday is a hard day. There´s never a day that will be the same without you. I will forever carry on your name and legacy. I will forever love you. To the man who raised me up in heaven, I love you so much and will forever miss you.

Dad, one of my last memories with you was you walking me down the isle and our dance at my wedding. I’ll be forever greatful that you had the opportunity to do that before you passed. You were a great father. You are deeply missed and thought about every single day. I wish I got to hear your voice or tell you I love you one more time. You are no longer suffering or in pain. That’s what soothes my heart. I miss you like there’s no tomorrow. I know your resting in peace and have a blast with grandma and uncle Roy. Say hi for me. I love for always!
