PHILLIPA YANT Obituary
LAKELAND - Phillipa Yant passed away May 19, 2013 from complications of a broken leg.
She was born in Montreal, Canada on September 4, 1916 but spent most of her life in Jacksonville and Lakeland.
Phil was a beautiful woman and remained so throughout her life. She was known for her grace, dignity, and kindness and was universally loved.
Phillpa was preceded in death by her parents, John and Susan Martineau of Montreal, Canada, her husband and soul mate of over 50 years, John Yant Sr., and her brother, Ray.
She is survived by her sons, Dr. John "Jack" Yant and his wife Marylin of Lakeland, and Dr. Robert Yant and his wife, Debbie of Jacksonville, grandchildren, Ryan Yant of Tampa, Randy Yant of Lakeland, JD Yant , Natalie Yant, and Whitney Calfee, all of Jacksonville, step grandchildren, Willow and Lexi Ronco, and Jackie Holder of Jacksonville.
The Yant family would like to thank Dr. Mike Brown and staff for their exemplary care of Phil for so many years.
A memorial service will be held at Shepherd Road Presbyterian Church, 1217 Shepherd Rd., Lakeland, FL 33811, on Thursday, May 23, 2013 at 5pm.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, 1920 S. Florida Ave., Lakeland, FL 33803.
