Rosa Parrilla Obituary

ROSA
PARRILLA

WINTER HAVEN - Rosa Parrilla went home to be with her Lord in the early afternoon of August 4, 2019. She was born February 18, 1929 in San Lorenzo, Puerto Rico to Ignacio Mel-endez and Francisca Claudio.
She was the widow of Antonio Tirado and José Parrilla and preceded in death by her sons Roberto Antonio Tirado and José Antonio Tirado. Rosa is survived by her brother Cristóbal Meléndez, her three daughters Lillian Tirado, Frances Piñero and Sheila Parrilla Law and her son José Parrilla as well as fifteen grandchildren, twenty great-grandchildren and many other family members.
She was a devoted mother, a faithful wife, and a dedicated teacher in the public schools of Puerto Rico and Florida. In her retirement years she was active with her family, babysitting the grandchildren and cared for her late husband. She loved the Lord without question, wanting to be with Him, and remained faithful to the end.
The family is having a celebration service on Saturday, August 10, 2019 at 11 am, to be held at Westwood Missionary Baptist Church at 3210 Avenue G NW, Winter Haven, FL, 33880. In lieu of flowers, we are asking that donations be made in the name of Rosa Parrilla to the Alzheimer's Association. The local chapter's address is 14010 Roosevelt Blvd., Suite 709, Clearwater, FL 33762.
