LAKELAND - Shawn Lee Stidham, 30, of Lakeland, passed away May 18, 2011, from injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident.
Shawn was born in Winter Haven, graduated from Kathleen High School, and was working as a manager with Lakeland Nursery, a landscaping firm.
Shawn had many passions, had no enemies, would do anything anyone asked of him, loved kids, and was a real people person, spending time on the computer with Facebook. Shawn lived life to its fullest, was a jokester and the peacemaker of the family, and his hobbies included cooking, poetry, and the guitar. He was also a video game master. He will be sorely missed.
Shawn is survived by his mother, Joan Stidham, his brother Shane and fiancée Becky, his close friend Jennifer Garza, his maternal grandmother Evelyn Woodring, many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews, and cousins.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, May 24, 2011 at 3:00 PM at Gentry-Morrison, Beacon Hill Chapel, 1833 S. Florida Ave., Lakeland. Friends are invited to the funeral home on Monday, May 23 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM.

Just today I find out that you left this world so suddenly.I can't believe you are not there , I can't go back to the nursery anymore, you'll never be replaced by anyone.
God embrace you in heaven and from there you can take care of your family that you left in this world in the hope that someday you will meet again.

I did not know Shawn but we do have mutual friends and I've heard amazing things about him. My heart, thoughts & prayers go out to his family, friends & everyone who knew and loved him. May he rest in peace.

Shawn, I miss you so much. I try to think of you smiling and laughing, but it's hard at times. I put on a strong front, and it's easy to do when surrounded by people. However, in those quiet moments, it's all I can do but to break down. I love you.

Joanie, I'm so very sorry for the loss of Shawn. It sounds like he was a wonderful young man, one you can always be proud of. I wish I knew him better. My heart is breaking for you and your mom.
