TIMOTHY EMORY "BUCK"
TANNER, 28

LAKELAND - Timothy Emory "Buck" Tanner, 28, of Lakeland, passed away on September 4, 2012 due to choking on a marshmallow while traveling on a job in Savannah, TN.
He was born on August 27, 1984 in Lakeland, FL. Timothy attended St. Joseph's School and graduated from Mulberry High School in 2002.
Buck served in the United States Army from 2005 to 2008. He was stationed in Germany and served 6 months in Camp Ramandi, Iraq.
He worked for Publix Supermarket from 2000 to 2005 and then from 2007 to 2009.
He was a member of St. Joseph's Church in Lakeland and was a previous member of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church in Bark River.
He is survived by his parents, Timothy E. and Jean A. (Mott) Tanner, his brothers, Raymond B. Tanner, James R. Tanner, Theodore "Teddy" J. Tanner, John G. Tanner, all of Lakeland, grandparents, Raymond and Elorine Mott of Bark River, MI; many aunts and uncles; and many, many cousins.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Buddy and Nancy Tanner; four uncles, Butchy, Ted and Fred Mott and Cliff Clifford; and cousins Bobby Mileski and Caden Clifford.
A Memorial Mass will be held at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Lakeland, FL on Saturday, Sept 22, 2012 at 10:30 a.m.
In lieu of flowers please make contributions to Msgr. John P. Caulfield Legacy Scholarship Program. Catholic Schools made a difference on Tanner's life. "Your gift makes a difference in the life of a child in your community!"
The Crawford Funeral Home of Bark River, MI assisted the Tanner family.

i didn't know tanner very long but during the short time that i got to know him, we talked a lot about life and religion and he really helped me out during some tough emotional times. i can't believe you're gone, buddy. i'll miss you until we meet again. to his family: i am so sorry for your loss. he was a very wonderful man.

To Jean, Tim Sr, all the boys- I am so sorry to hear about Timmy. We called him "Tanner" in the Army. I just heard the sad news and we send our thoughts and prayers to you. Jean, you might remember me from Germany in the ICU with him, he was one of my husband's Soldiers. I am just so sad for all of you. He went way too soon.
