SOLLIS, 83
CITRUS SPRINGS, FL. - Wanda Cornett Sollis, age 83, of Citrus Springs, FL, passed away on June 28, 2015.
She was born in Vicco, Kentucky, and graduated from Western Kentucky University in Bowling Green, KY, where she received her degree in education. She moved to Florida in the early 1950s and began her career as a teacher at Sue M. Moore Elementary in Marathon, Florida. She spent the next 30+ years educating 5th and 6th graders in the Dade County School system at various elementary schools.
She is survived by her loving husband Brian Sollis of Citrus Springs, her daughter Mira 'Missy' Talley of Sebastian, FL, her sister Irene Delph of Bartow, FL, one niece and four nephews. She was predeceased by her son Philip Page Talley.
No services are scheduled. In lieu of flowers, please make donations in Wanda's name to Moffitt Cancer Center in Tampa, FL, at www.moffitt.org
