Robert Harvell Obituary

Robert "Bob" Stewart Harvell, 77, of Oxford passed away Tuesday, September 16, 2025, at his home.

Born in Durham County on March 8, 1948, he was the son of the late Willie Robert Harvell and Lucille Ina Ervin.

Bob served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War.

No services are planned at this time.

Survivors include one son, Chad Harvell (Mandy) of Washington State; one daughter, Tonja Harvell Gransden; six grandchildren, Emma Harvell, Jackson Harvell, Grady Harvell, Payton Forsythe (Canaan), Piper Conrad and Teagan Gransden; one great granddaughter, Parker; two special nieces, Cheri Brown (Ron) and Lisa Probst (Glen) and a very special friend, Jo Mangum, her son Phillip and her family. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Jeri Howell and Joyce Coley and one brother, Jackie Harvell.

So sorry to hear of Bob's passing. Also to learn of his sister Jeri passing. They were living down the street from me in Oxford growing up. Great friend gone to soon.
