Jeffrey Nathan Obituary

Jeffrey Alan
Nathan
12/27/1958 - 4/27/2011

Devoted husband, brother, uncle, grandfather, and friend. Born December 27,1958 in Roseville, passed away April 27,2011 at the age of 52. Left behind are his wife Karen Nathan, granddaughter Noelle Jones, sister Sandi and her husband Gene Haslett, and niece Sarah and her husband Will Reed. Jeff was also a favorite uncle to so many, including Aaron Davis and the Case, Haslett, and Lettich families. Everyone that knew Jeff will know how badly his dog Champ will miss him as well.
Preceded in death by his parents Adrian and Sally Nathan, sister Zelinda Nathan, and dear cousin Sheldon Katz.
In the early years Jeff worked in the automotive paint field and during last 15 years in the industrial gas industry. Jeff was very happy to succeed in a career that made Pops proud.
As a young adult, Jeff lead a very adventurous life and yet even after settling down, he still managed to put over 250 thousand miles on his beloved Shovelhead. He continually enriched the lives of many with his no nonsense attitude and incredible sense of humor. He was a loving, generous man who will be deeply missed by all that were blessed by knowing him.
Family and Friends are invited to attend a celebration of life Wednesday, May 4, 2011 at 11 a.m. at First Congregational Church of Auburn, 710 Auburn Ravine Road, Auburn, Calif. There will be a small reception following the service.

My thoughts and prayers are with family and friends. Although I haven't seen Jeff in many years (since our high school days), I remember how cheerful he was and fun to be around. A good person. It really brings a smile to my face. I am thankful to have those good memories.

Jeff was like an uncle to me and was like another family member and one thing is sure that it wont be the same without him, he always was an easy person to talk to and loved his 2 Harley Davidson motorcycles and wife Karen and dog champ. During his sickness the best wish of all that he could have was that if he could ride his motorcycles again like he used to with his wife because they both enjoyed the rides on the motorcycles together.

I'm deeply saddened to hear about cousin Jeff passing away. I have fond memories of how very kind and amazingly thoughtful he was. And how delightfully witty & wry was his sense of humor. He will be greatly missed.

I look forward to meeting Jeff's friends who supported him in his final days at the Celebration of Life on Wednesday, May 4th. (NOTE: date shown in today's obituary is mistaken).
He leaves nieces, Sarah Reed and her husband, Will Reed, Tiffany Aubel and Betty Haslett, great-niece, Angelique Elkins and great-nephew, Jareth Elkins.
He lived his life on his own terms which included great generosity and devotion to family.
I will miss my beloved brother, Jeff.
