Having the privilege of knowing Dave since Miss Wilcox's 4th grade class, Dave was definitely considered a family friend and one of my best friends. Dave and I would have countless 'replays' of Wildcat games over the phone thru the years. Until about 15 years ago, Dave would generally visit us in Colorado on an annual basis. We created lots of fantastic memories on his trips to see us. Attached are a few pics of some of the trips we took with Dave. Memories like his admonition of my wife ('Now now, Diane') followed by the sincerest of laughs is fondly remembered as will be his friendship of over 54 years. As my son noted, there are few souls as pure and remarkable as Dave's. As my daughter said, we had a great friendship ... and as my wife said, Dave is a brilliant angel now watching over us. My sentiments are that Dave had a straight shot to heaven! Way to go Dave... hope you'll save us a place! Until then, we will sorely miss knowing you're still available to call, but we know you'll be cheering for the Cats, Chiefs, and Royals from your heavenly chair. If I can make it work, following are the referenced pics of his Colorado visits with us. Brad & Diane Eckhoff

To Dave´s family, prayers are being lifted for all of you. Dave and my brother were lifelong friends meaning Dave was a part of our family too. He definitely "bled purple" and I´m certain those conversations will be missed. Heavens gain of a great man!!
Sincerely,
Cindi (Eckhoff) and Richard Chase
