Alberto Mancha Obituary

ALBERTO "BETO" MANCHA, JR.
ALAMO - Alberto "Beto" Mancha, Jr., 60, died Tuesday, May 22, 2007 at MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, Texas.
Born in San Juan, Mr. Mancha had lived in Alamo for the past 36 years. He was a well known businessman in Alamo and was a veteran of the US Army having served during Vietnam.
He was preceded in death by his father, Alberto Mancha, Sr.; and a twin brother, Luis A. Mancha.
Mr. Mancha is survived by his beloved wife of 38 years, Ela Mancha of Alamo; two children, Sandra (Oscar Jr.) Mancha Rodriguez of McAllen, Albert Mancha III of Alamo; a grandson, Oscar David Rodriguez; his mother, Maria Canales Mancha of Pharr; two sisters, Nora (Jose) Renteria of Edinburg, Diana Mancha of Pharr; four brothers, Javier (Diana) Mancha of Sharyland, Trino (Yolanda) Mancha of Pharr, Juan (Roxanna) Mancha of San Juan and Pablo (Rosa) De Leon of Edinburg.
Visitation will be held from 5 to 9 p.m. with a 7 p.m. rosary, today, May 24, 2007 at Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan. Funeral service will be held at 10 a.m., Friday, May 25, 2007 at Resurrection Catholic Church in Alamo. Interment will follow at Palm Valley Memorial Gardens in Pharr. Military honors will be conducted by American Legion Post 101 of Pharr. Pallbearers will be Eloy Hernandez, Mark Hernandez, Justin Hernandez, Travis Hernandez, Trinidad Mancha and Johnny Mancha.
Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan.
