Alejandro Bosque Obituary

Mission, TX - Alejandro Del Bosque, Jr., affectionately known by many as Alex, Spider and Lito, was a loving and dedicated family man, whose compassion and loyalty knew no bounds. Born on December 2, 1962, in McAllen, Texas, Alejandro was a beacon of warmth and joy to all who knew him. His spirit was as vast as the Texas sky, and his heart as deep as the Rio Grande Valley. As his daughter, I can attest to the infinite depth of his love and the breadth of his generosity.

In his life, Alejandro was most at home when he was taking care of his family. He was a man who found joy in the simple pleasures of life; cooking up a storm for family gatherings, swimming on hot summer days, and BBQing under the Texas sun. There was nothing he treasured more than the movie nights with mom and the laughter-filled moments with his granddaughters, Sofia, Darcy, and Emily. As Anna Quindlen once said, "The life of a father is the life of the child: you are two blossoms on a single branch." Indeed, Alejandro's life was a vivid canvas of love, painted with the colors of his family.

Alejandro leaves behind his loving and devoted wife of 34 years Marina; his three daughters Alexandria (Colin) Kerns, Kassandra Del Bosque and Gabriela Del Bosque; his three granddaughters Sofia, Darcy and Emily Kerns that will forever remember the man who taught them to love unconditionally, embrace life passionately, and BBQ like a true Texan. He is also survived by his parents Yolanda and Alejandro Del Bosque, Sr.; his siblings Monica (Jose Luis) De Luna, Nelda (Daniel Urquiza) Del Bosque, Armando (Melisa) Del Bosque, Adrian (Pearl) Del Bosque and Arturo Del Bosque; his parents in law Adolfo and Irma Gonzalez; his sisters in law Ramona (Ricardo) Terrazas, Irma (Mario) Sifuentes and Roxanne Gonzalez; a brother in law Adolfo (Sally) Gonzalez, Jr.; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. To quote Helen Keller, "What we once enjoyed and deeply loved we can never lose, for all that we love deeply becomes part of us." Alejandro's love and spirit live on in those he leaves behind.

Visitation will be held at the Brown Family Funeral Home, 701 E. Expressway 83 in Mission at 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. on Sunday, January 28, 2024.
