ALICE ALDRICH Obituary
HOUSTON/EDINBURG - Alice Statham Aldrich, age 90, died December 20, 2011 in Houston.
Born in Galveston to A. Crawford & Daisy C. Statham, moved to Edinburg in 1925, where she met and married her husband of 52 years, Oliver C. Aldrich, Jr. She attended Edinburg High School, where she was a charter member of the Sergeanettes, and attended Edinburg Jr. College. She had lived in Houston for the last 50 years.
She began her career as an executive secretary, and attained the designation of Professional Secretary. At her retirement, she was a Vice President, with responsibilities for the company employee benefits plans. She faithfully served in her churches, and was a member of St. Luke's Presbyterian Church.
She was predeceased by her parents, her husband, sister: Margaret Statham Carlson and by a grandson. She is survived by her sons; Oliver, III & wife Donna, Albert & wife Celia, Collin & wife Sharron and daughter; Cathleen Miller, sister; Mildred Park, 6 grandchildren and by 8 great grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at Memorial Drive Presbyterian Church, 11612 Memorial Drive, at 10:00 AM on Tuesday, December 27, 2011. Graveside funeral services will be at 10:00 AM on Wednesday, December 28, 2011 at Hillcrest Memorial Park in Edinburg, TX.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Alzheimer's Association 2242 W. Holcombe Blvd. Houston, TX 77030-2008.
Funeral arrangements are entrusted to the care of Skinner Silva Funeral Home of Edinburg, TX.
