ALICIA LUERA Obituary
EDINBURG – Alicia B. Luera, 82, died Wednesday, February 2, 2011, at McAllen Medical Center.
Born in Robstown, Texas, Mrs. Luera had lived in Edinburg all of her life .
She is preceded in death by her husband, Jorge Luera, her parents, Marcelo and Felipa Benavidez and a brother, Marcelo Benavidez, Jr.
Mrs. Luera is survived by two daughters, Esmeralda (Fernando) Botello, Graciela (John) Lucio, both of Edinburg; eight sisters, Bernadina B. Leal, Ramona B. Gonzalez, Felipa B. De La Garza, Gloria B. Castillo, Leocadia B. Castillo, Petra B. Aguilar, all of Edinburg; Trinidad B. Ruiz, of Robstown, Texas, Guadalupe B. Dominguez, of Houston, Texas; two brothers, Rodolfo V. Benavidez, Rene Benavidez, both of Edinburg; nine grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A rosary was held Thursday, February 3, 2011 at Memorial Funeral Home Chapel, 208 E. Canton in Edinburg. Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. today, February 4, 2010, at Holy Family Catholic Church in Edinburg. Interment will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park in Edinburg.
Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in Edinburg.
