Condolences to the Rivas Family. I attended TX DPS Academy Recruit School A-76. He was also a friend during his assignment to the Valley area. Great sense of humor and a good man . I’ll miss his infectious laugh. God Bless.

Dear Lou & Rivas Family,
It was with deep sadness that I recently learned of Andres' "Andy" passing. Living in the same neighborhood in Edinburg we knew each other since our childhood and high school days. He was always a happy person with a jovial personality. We were all so very proud of his career as a State Trooper and I was privileged to attend his retirement ceremony. It is always hard to lose a loved one, but he will always dwell in your heart and in those of his children. My sincere condolences, sympathies and prayers during this difficult time. May he rest in everlasting peace. God's Blessings to your family.

Rivas Family,
Andy was the type of person that once he befriended you he was a friend forever. I met Andy when I was assigned to work in Houston. He welcomed me to Houston and to his home. I was blessed to meet his family. I will always be grateful to him and to you all for receiving me with gracious hearts
