I was shocked and saddened to read about the passing of Armando. We started out together as junior high math teachers just over 50 years ago in San Benito. He was invariably of good cheer and friendliness. He reached out to me almost twenty years ago when he learned my Dad, his chemistry teacher was living with me. Saddened and shocked.

Our most heartfelt and sincerest condolences to all his family..he was a wonderful person, friend, and an outstanding member of our community and will be greatly missed. May God be with all his family and be by their side to comfort them for their loss and during their time of sorrow. May he always rest in peace in God's glorious heavens .

We loved working with Mando at the High School. He was a great math teacher, civic leader, family man and most importantly a man of faith in his savior, Jesus Christ. We will miss him and will be praying for you. Art & Kathy Cowden

I will always remember Mr Lopez as a devoted father, grandfather and friend. He was an huge Mercedes Tigers and Lady Tigers fan. Mr Lopez leaves a legacy of a man that inspired his family, friends and students to achieve and to succeed. I will treasure our last conversation from a man to be admired.
