Bernard Munn Obituary
McALLEN - Bernard R. "Buddy" Munn, 92, died at McAllen Medical Center on December 29, 2008.
Buddy was a native of Superior, Wisconsin. He served in the US Army during World War II and stayed in the Valley after his discharge from Moore Air Force Base in Mission. Buddy loved to bowl and bowled with the Jet League for 34 years. He served as secretary/treasurer of the league for a term of many years. He also bowled with the Golden Oldies Winter League for several years.
Buddy was preceded in death by his parents and his wife of 58 years, Celia. He is survived by his daughter, Chris (David)Krienke, his grandson, Kelley and his granddaughters, Audra and Heather, all of Houston.
A rosary will be read at 7 p.m. on Thursday, January 1, 2009, at Kreidler Funeral Home Chapel in McAllen. A Catholic funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Friday, January 2, 2009, at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church on 12th and Hackberry. Burial will follow at Roselawn Cemetery. Please accept our sympathy on our dear Mr. Munn. My sisters and I met him and Mrs. Munn many years ago when Mrs. Munn and our mother, Cristina Ozuna were roommates at Colonial Nursing Home. We all became friends and everyone at the nursing home became his friend. Who could forget his smile and kindness. My mother loved them both although she didn't talk. What a wonderful man. I enjoyed many, many years with Buddy. I saw him about a month ago in H. E. B. and he appeared to be in good spirits and health. I'm sincerly sad to see him leave us and will miss him.

Boddy, you always smile. You always took time to visit with all the bowlers at the bowling ally. Thanks for being friendly with us. I'm sure you are smiling with God now.
