CARLOS JAVIER CAVAZOS Carlos Javier Cavazos lived a life filled with music, books, good food, and love. Cavazos, 38, passed away on Monday, April 20, 2015. His final days were spent surrounded by family and friends. Born in McAllen on July 10, 1976, Cavazos attended the Science Academy of South Texas (1994), and graduated with a degree in English from the University of Texas at Austin (1999). Carlos began working in the education field as an advisor but found his passion in teaching English to his students at South Texas High School for Health Professions in Mercedes. His laid back manner and his kind heart made him a favorite of all who met him. Carlos is survived by the love of his life, wife Belinda Flores; his father, Albert (Christine) Cavazos, and his mother, Lucy Solis Cavazos; brothers, Al (Gloria) Cavazos, and Jaime (Myra) Cavazos; nieces and nephews, Albert, Nick, Alyssa, Mya, and Ava; his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Federico (Dominga) Flores; a brother-in-law, Freddy (Kelly) Flores, and a sister-in-law, Deandra (Abraham) Acevedo; niece and nephews, Cristian, Sophia and Abraham, Jr. The viewing will be from 5:30 to 8:00 p.m. with the rosary at 7:00 p.m. at Kreidler Funeral Home, 314 N. 10th Street, McAllen, Texas. The funeral mass will be held Friday, April 24th, 2015 at 10 a.m. at Our Lady of Sorrows at 1108 W.
