CHRISTINE SALAZAR Obituary
McALLEN - Christine Reyna Salazar, 41, passed away Tuesday, June 19, 2012 in Halletsville.
She is survived by her parents, Felipe C. and Maria Del Socorro (Reyna) Salazar; older sister, Mrs. Maria del Rosario "Rose" Quintero and her husband Tino Quintero, Jr.; niece, Tabitha Celeste Quintero; Godson/nephew, Celestino "Trey" Quintero, III; niece. Taleah Celine Quintero; older brother, Mr. Felipe R. "Phil" Salazar; nephew, Phillip Salazar; niece, Vanessa Grace Salazar; younger sister; Mrs. Irma Linda Salazar-Salinas and her husband Cesar Xavier Salinas; Godson/nephew, Cesar "CJ" Salinas, Jr.; niece, Kailyn Nicole Salinas; younger sister, Ms. Lorissa Nicole Salazar; younger sister, Mrs. Erika Marie Salazar-Garcia and her husband Martin H. Garcia; nephew, Martin Garcia, Jr.; niece, Sabrina Garcia.
She was Tia Abuela to niece, Tabitha Quintero's daughters, great-niece, Brielle Tristah Gonzalez; great-niece, Brooklyn Trinity Gonzalez and Godson/nephew, Celestino "Trey" Quintero's son, great-nephew, Celestino Mason Quintero, IV.
Visitation will be from 1:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Sunday, June 24, 2012, with a religious services being held at 7:00 p.m. at Rivera Funeral Home in McAllen. A Chapel Service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Monday, June 25, 2012, at Rivera Funeral Home in McAllen. Interment will follow at Valley Memorial Gardens in Mission. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Rivera Funeral Home of McAllen.

I had the pleasure of meeting Ms. Christine through my sister, Yvonne Nunez, when I was 15. Her presence was full of personality and her laugh was contagious. She was a great and lovely person to be around. My condolences go out to the Salazar family, I'm so sorry for your loss. Her memory will forever live on in our hearts.
