DANIEL NEELEY Obituary

DANIEL "DAN" NEELEY
EDINBURG - Daniel 'Dan' Neeley passed away September 14, 2011 at his residence in Edinburg with his family by his side.
Daniel was born on July 13, 1950 at Clark AB, Philippines. He graduated from Madrid High School, Torrejon AB, Spain in 1968 where he was selected as the most 'unforgettable' student of his class. He also served four years in the USAF as a weather observer, having served tours in Texas and California. Upon completing his military obligation, Daniel attended Pan American University graduating in 1976 with a degree in History. Daniel worked at various jobs including the Edinburg ISD and the McAllen Monitor.
Daniel is survived by his siblings Robert M. Neeley, Stephen P. Neeley, Philip B. Neeley, Martha E. Neeley, Christopher D. Neeley, John G. Neeley, Leslie A. Harvey, Arthur D. Neeley and Mary M. Frasquieri. He is also survived by numerous ineces and nephews.
Daniel is preceded in death by his parents Colonel Robert and Dorothy Neeley. The family would like to give special thanks to Charlie and Veronica Neeley, who cared for Daniel during the last years of Daniel's illness.
A Holy Rosary will be recited for Daniel at 6:30 pm, Saturday, September 17 at St Joseph's Catholic Church in Edinburg. Funeral Services will be conducted at 2:00 pm, Monday, September 19 at St. Joseph's Catholic Church with internment to follow at Val Verde Memorial Gardens in Donna.
Arrangement were entrusted to the care of Skinner Silva Funeral Home of Edinburg.

To the Family of Dan Neeley: Roy & I express our deepest & most sincere sympathy in the loss of your Brother, Uncle, Cousin & Friend. He was a very dear person that I got to know over the years on trips to visit with Steve & Kathy. He was always so kind.
We will keep each of you in our prayers. May God comfort you in your loss, and keep you in His care.
