DAVID VOLZ Obituary
MISSION - David Richard Volz passed away February 7, 2010 after a short battle with cancer. He died peacefully in his resident home in Devine, Texas.
David was born on August 26, 1957 to Dick and Fosteene Volz in Mission, Texas. The gifts given to him by his parents were a sense of humor and a love for animals. David loved people and would engage in conversations, as he genuinely wanted to know how you were doing. He enjoyed laughter and joking from all around him. We will miss David's unique sense of wit.
He is survived by his father, Dick Volz of Mission; Three siblings; Linda Vickers of Falfurrias, Ron Volz of Mission and Loretta Mann of San Marcos.
His mother, Fosteene Volz and sister, Teresa Sturdivant, precede him in death.
Honorary pallbearers: Clark Spikes, Mark Spikes, Brenda Burford, Jeff Jones and Tom Jones.
Funeral arrangements will be handled by the Ric Brown Funeral Home in Mission, Texas. A gravesite service is planned at the Laurel Hills Cemetery on Friday the 12th of February at 2pm.
We would like to extend our heart filled gratitude to all those that made David's life and his last days comfortable and full. The Heritage Residence Center, Brenda Burford, Lucile Tullbane and devoted family members.
In memory of David Volz, the family only wishes that you "pass it forward". Do a good deed, extend someone a helping hand or just make someone smile.

I am saddened to read of the death of David, I remember him as a nice yong man always happy/friendly and in particular his kindness to Megan teaching her how to play pool. My sincere sympathy to you Dick and to your family.May he rest in peace.
