Jose Vasquez Obituary

Mission - Jose Angel Vasquez, 64, passed away on December 27, 2022 at Solara Hospital in McAllen, Texas. He was born in Mission, Texas to Alvaro and San Juana Vasquez. He graduated from Mission High School in 1979. He worked at Kmart for approximately 20 years. He was a Christian by faith, enjoyed fishing, and being with friends.

Jose is survived by his mother, San Juana Vasquez, brothers, Oscar, Alvaro Jr, Alberto, and Arturo Vasquez, and sisters Maria C. Mejia and Hilda Vasquez.

He is preceded in death by his father, Alvaro Vasquez, Sr.; two brothers, Omar and Andres Vasquez; two sisters Aurora Torres and Maria Elva Olivarez.

Visitation will be held at 4:oo p.m. on Wednesday, January 4, 2022 at Ric Brown Family Funeral Home Chapel in Mission, Texas with a rosary to be recited at 7:00pm. A Chapel Service will be held on Thursday January 5, 2023 at 10:00 am. with burial to follow at Lord and I Cemetery. The Family would like to express their heartfelt gratitude to Dr Luis Arango for his compassionate care he provided, and a special thank you to his nurse, Raul Alvarez, and to his caregiver, Daniel Melgosa. Finally, to the staff of Solara Hospital for providing comfort to my beloved son.

My sincere condolences to the whole Vasquez family. May Angel be free of pain now and walking into Heaven's gate. He will be missed! I always treasure all memories of La Cochilla. Great times!!! Love and Prayers to y'all.
