Dolores Diaz Obituary

Alamo - Dolores "Lola" Diaz, 83, went home to the Lord Friday, July 2, 2021, at Knapp Medical Center in Weslaco.

Dolores was born and lived in Alamo all of her life.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Raul Diaz; a great-grandson, Jordon Diaz; her parents, Perfecto and Guadalupe Arredondo; and two siblings, Maria Luisa Pina and Perfecto Arredondo, Jr.

Dolores is survived by two children, Arturo (Alma Leticia) Diaz, Angelica D. Liscano, both of Alamo; seven grandchildren, Arturo Diaz Jr. of Alamo, Maritza Mancias of Florida, Esmeralda Diaz Martinez, Eunice Liscano, Eduardo Diaz, Joey Diaz, John Paul Diaz, all of Alamo; 16 great-grandchildren; a sister, Francisca Arredondo Rivas of Buffalo, TX; and a brother, Ventura Arredondo of Alamo.

Visitation will be held from 5 to 8 p.m., with a 6 p.m. rosary Tuesday, July 6, 2021, at Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan. Funeral service will take place at 10 a.m. Wednesday, July 7, 2021, at Resurrection Catholic Church in Alamo. Interment will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery in Alamo.

Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan.
