Glen Quinn Obituary
GLEN D. QUINN
Glen D. Quinn was born on July 23, 1941 in Henrietta, Texas to parents Frank and Izora Smith Quinn and was called to Heaven on April 24, 2009. Glen was a prominent businessman in McAllen, Texas for over thirty years where he owned Quinn's Exxon Station on 10th Street and Nolana. He was active in many civic organizations including the Texas Beef Syndicate. He was also an avid hunter and outdoorsman and spent many happy hours around a campfire at the Los Islas Ranch in Starr County. Upon retirement Glen moved to El Maton to be near family where he was able to spend countless hours fishing with Leonard and Dexter the Dog. He was preceded in death by his parents and his twin brother Ben. He is survived by his sister, Frankie Kelley, three daughters, Kathy, Carol, and Patty, his grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. A time of visitation will be held on Tuesday April 28 from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM at the Bay City Funeral Home. Graveside services will be held on Wednesday April 29 at Hawley Cemetery at 11:00 AM. Pallbearers will be Randy Kelley, Frank Kelley, John Tedens, Chad Srubar, Ben Quinn and Phillip Hayes. Services are under the direction of Bay City Funeral Home, 2205 Ave K, Bay City, Texas. I loved Mr. Quinn, I very truly wish I had the chance to see him one more time. I give God Thanks for giving me the opportunity to see Mr. Quinn in a dream and allowing me to give him a hug. That is something I will always have in my heart. I wish I never lost contact with him and that I was there until the end. I worked for him at the Exxon on 10th and Nolana. Until this day I still think of him and wish I never lost contact with him.

To Frankie and family: May God bless you in this time of grief. We have nothing but wonderful memories of Glenn from our weekly lunches with him to our rides on the farm. Glenn always spoke of his love for God and we know he is with Him now. He was always so much fun to be with and we will miss him very much. Our prayers are with all of you.

We knew Glen since moving to McAllen in 1984. He was a good friend, not only to Gene and myself, but also to our children. He taught all of us so much about life, hunting and fishing. We will all miss him very much. May God bless him and his family.
