GLORIA ORTIZ Obituary
Mission - Gloria M. Ortiz, 62, a life-long resident of Mission, passed away on October 20, 2009, at her residence in Mission.
Gloria will be remembered for her love of family and how committed and dedicated she was to them. She lived her life through faith and was very kind, generous, and compassionate. She enjoyed life and loved to laugh as well as travel, eagerly visiting family in other parts of the country.
Gloria was preceded in death by her parents Damacio and Julia Ortiz, and a brother Rene Ortiz.
She is survived by her brothers Manuel Ortiz and Arturo (Sylvia) Ortiz of Mission as well as by many nieces and nephews and many close friends.
Visitation will be held today, Thursday, October 22, 2009, from 1:00pm - 9:00pm with a 3:00pm memorial talk, and a 7:00pm rosary at Ric Brown Family Funeral Home Chapel in Mission. A memorial mass will be held on Friday, October 23, 2009 at 10:00am at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Mission.
Services are under the direction of Ric Brown Family Funeral Home in Mission.

Tia Gloria we will miss you greatly. You were a great part in my life and later in the life of my family. You were a big part of my life growing up you were always there for me. You help me with lots of my firsts in my life. Thanks for always being there for me.

You were the best aunt. A light has dimmed in our family because of your loss. We will miss your love and generosity and the wonderful way you made all of your nieces and nephews feel loved and important. You were always so proud of each of us. You are finally home receiving your great reward for all the kind acts of love and compassion that you showed everyone. You now have fullness and completeness in heaven. We love you and miss you. We will continue to pray for you, please pray for us too.
