James Hilber Obituary
Family and friends will gather to celebrate his life on Monday, May 7,2018 at a mass which will be held at St. Anne, Mother of Mary Catholic Church located at 801 East Juarez Street in Pharr, Texas at 11:00 am.
Jim, as he was know to his family and friends was born on June 5, 1950 in Fargo, North Dakota to Richard and Edna Hilber. Upon Jim's retirement he and his wife moved to McAllen to enjoy the warm South Texas weather.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Thomas Hilber as well as his parents.
Jim is survived by his wife of 37 years, Celia Billescas Hilber from McAllen, a son Robert Thomas (Mindy) Hilber from San Antonio, Tx; siblings are Carol Zimbrick (Cortland), Jean Owen (Mark RIP) , Cathy Fugare (Rick) , Bob Hilber (Diana) , Pat Hilber (Cindy) and Tim Hilber (Pam) as well as several nieces and nephews. Jim is also survived by numerous in laws living in South Texas, California, Houston and San Antonio.
Funeral arrangements are being handled by Legacy Chapels in Edinburg.

I am so sorry to hear about Jim passing away. We became friends through business while he was the County Administrator in Talladega Alabama. He always had a quick smile for me and his word was his bond. This world has lost a great man. Thanks for the memories Jim. Robert "Duffy" Sanders.
