Jane Donohoo Obituary
Mission - Jane E. "Meme" Donohoo, 82, born January 16, 1927 passed away June 14, 2009 at McAllen Medical Center.
She is preceded in death by her husbands Lt. Col. Tom Donohoo and Bill Driscoll, daughter-in-law Beth Donohoo, and her parents Dr. Scott and Clova Hickey.
She is survived by her son T. L. Donohoo (Sharon Shilvock) of Mission, Texas, grandchildren Breide Donohoo (Jason) Toney of Mission, Capt. Lee (Bree) Donohoo of New River, N.C.; great grandchildren Ellen Toney, Madeline Donohoo, Heath Toney; brother Dr. Gene (Peggy) Hickey of San Antonio, TX.
Jane was proud to be the daughter of a well known Baptist minister. She was a military wife and spent the first 20 years of her marriage living in places like England and all over the U.S. Her husband was base commander of Sweetwater Air Force Base where he retired and remained for many years.
In 1991 she moved to Mission to be closer to her family. She was very active in the McAllen Elks Lodge and received numerous awards for the number of members she recruited. She was a loving grandmother and great-grandmother. She will always be remembered as the "Life of the Party."
Funeral service will be held Wednesday, June17, 2009 at 10 am at Ric Brown Family Funeral Home in Mission. Burial will follow at a later date at Garden of Memories Cemetery in Sweetwater, TX.
Contributions can be made to the Palm Valley Humane Society.
Services are under the direction of Ric Brown Family Funeral Home of Mission.

We were so sad to hear of Jane's (Meme's) passing. What laughs we had at the antics she would pull and she would just have to have her lip-liner or we were all going to hear about it! My heart is filled with tears because you've lost her but also filled with love because she brought joy to other's lives and she enjoyed her life and family so much. Meme was so young at heart she always
kept up with everyone she was so much fun to be around with she always loved kids and kept lots of candy in her many purses she carried! We will miss her witty personality! love ya meme
